TGC-1 has scored second in Environmental Transparency Rating for Fossil-Fuel & Power Generating Companies

In 2021 TGC-1 PJSC has scored second in Environmental Transparency Rating for Fossil-Fuel & Power Generating Companies in Russia, up by 6 positions from last year.

The rating methodology was created on the initiative of WWF Russia and includes assessment in three sections: managerial (environmental management), operational (environmental impact) and informational (information disclosure).

In the course of assessment TGC-1 PJSC has demonstrated high scores in all three sections of the rating, far in excess of average scores obtained by Russian energy companies. In particular, the company scored 1.75 points in Eco Management section (average for the branch was 1.063), 1.6667 points in environmental impact section (average for the branch was 1), and 1.5 points in information disclosure section (average for the branch was 1.222). As compared with the last year, the company has managed to increase its points in four qualitative and four quantitative indicators.

“Our company strives to disclose to the fullest possible extent information on its ecological activity, it has implemented an Ecology Management System, monitors observation of sanitary protection zones and supports biodiversity in territories of presence. In the next year we shall continue strengthening our positions in this direction, we plan to improve disclosure of information on sustained development taking account of international requirements, said Alexey Vorobyev, deputy Managing Director and Chief Engineer, TGC-1 PJSC.
