ПАО «ТГК-1» расширило состав генерирующего оборудования, обеспечивающего системную надежность единой энергетической системы
Power unit No. 4 of the Yuzhnaya CHPP of TGC-1 PJSC has passed a competitive selection and since July 2021 participates in ensuring the system reliability of the Unified Power System of Russia in terms of rated primary frequency control (RPFC).
The RPFC is aimed at minimization of the power grid frequency deviations in the event of a power imbalance in any part of the power system. A stable frequency of 50 Hz is the most important parameter for the power supply quality and a necessary condition for electrical equipment operation.
The power unit of the Yuzhnaya CHPP has passed the necessary tests and received a certificate of compliance with the standards of System Operator of the Unified Power System JSC. It became the second power unit of TGC-1 PJSC included in the register, after power unit No. 2 of the Pravoberezhnaya CHPP, which began providing the RPFC services in January 2021.
For reference
To control the frequency and active power flows, SO UPS JSC ensures continuous operation of control computer complexes and systems for monitoring the participation of generating equipment in primary, secondary, and tertiary control. In total, 90 power units of combined heat and power plants and hydroelectric power plants of the Russian Federation were selected for the provision of RPFC services.
CCGT-450 Power Unit No. 4 of the Yuzhnaya CHPP of TGC-1 PJSC was commissioned in 2011.
