TGС-1 completely renovated the main steam pipelines of all generator units of Severnaya CHPP

TGС-1 PJSC completed the replacement of the main steam pipeline of generator unit No.5 at Severnaya CHPP. Earlier similar works were performed on units 1–4. The implemented measures will increase reliability and safety of the station equipment operation.

“This year we have completed replacement of main steam pipelines of all five generator units of the plant. This will allow to operate the generator units at rated parameters and increase reliability of the CHPP operation”, – noted Oleg Shkurov, Director of Severnaya CHPP.

During the preparation for the new heating season, our power engineers dismantled the old section of the steam pipeline, installed new structures, thermal insulation, as well as control and measuring devices. In September, blowing and hydraulic tests of the steam pipeline were carried out.

Severnaya CHPP supplies electricity and heat to industrial enterprises, residential and public buildings in the northern part of Vyborgsky and Kalininsky districts of St. Petersburg, as well as to Novoye Devyatkino and Murino settlements of Vsevolozhsky district of Leningrad region. Today, over 800 thous. people use the powers of  Northern CHPP. The generated electricity is supplied to the power system of Russia.
