The TGC-1 project dedicated to the 150th anniversary of power engineer Genrikh Graftio started in St. Petersburg on 6 September. It includes an exhibit about the most important periods in the life of the founder of the Russian hydropower engineering school, and walking tours to the places where Genrikh Graftio lived and worked.

Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University "LETI" and Lev Lurie’s Culture & History Club were the partners of the event.

“TGC-1 continues the wonderful tradition of lectures and tours “Energy of St. Petersburg”, revealing the history of science and technology to citizens, which goes hand in hand with the history of our city,” said Natalia Bystrova, Director of the Museum of the Northwest Energy Industry History. “This year, participants of our walking tours will be able to visit the exhibit in "LETI" and walk through the streets of Petrograd-Leningrad, where Genrikh Graftio, an outstanding electrical engineer and facilitator of science, created his industrial masterpieces.”

“Many great people are written in the "LETI" rich history, and Genrikh Graftio is one of them. He is a man, who made an invaluable contribution to the development and formation of the national school of hydraulic power engineering.
